Job Description

Androgroup Elevator Ltd. invites applications for a full-time position as an Elevator Inspector under the category of technical work with work based in George Town, Grand Cayman. Typical work week is 45 hours and the monthly salary is dependent on experience ranging from CI$7500.00 to $8200.00. Qualification This is a senior role requiring the applicant to have a minimum of eight years’ experience in the capacity of an elevator technician and inspector working on high end commercial, industrial and residential elevator systems. The position requires applicants to be NAESA certified as an Inspector or hold equal qualification of the same level by another registered and recognized body. The applicant should also hold certification by a recognized trade institution in elevator systems and safety. Description The role requires the individual to perform complex inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting of existing and new lift equipment, including elevators, escalators and wheelchair lifts to ensure compliance with standard building and safety codes. The position may entail supervising and offering technical support to multiple crews whilst working on stringent operating schedules. The role also requires managing elevator installation and/or repairs within given budgets. Tasks in this capacity include communicating with general contractors, architects and building owners, ensuring quality control and managing warranty issues. In addition, the applicant should have excellent communication skills and be proficient in the use of MS Windows Office products specifically Outlook, Explorer, Word and Excel both on a PC desktop and as mobile applications. The applicant needs to be able to learn and use bespoke company software for timekeeping and Maintenance Control Planning for lift equipment. The applicant will be required to take part in our on-call schedule.
