Operating multiple types of heavy equipment to prepare base and sub-base to proper final grades in preparation for curbing installation on asphalt paving of roadways, tennis courts and parking areas. Must have a minimum of 10 years’ verifiable extensive experience operating various types of heavy equipment (Backhoes, Bulldozers, Front End Loaders, Excavators, Wirtgen Milling Machines, Motor Graders and rollers). Must be able to achieve proper grades and slopes when preparing base for asphalt paving. Must be experienced laying slip-form concrete curbing using a Gomaco curbing machine. Must have ability to assist with the setting out of the string line, according to established grades for layout of curbs and gutters. Must have a thorough knowledge of how to hand form and finish curbing areas which cannot be poured using the curbing machine. Only applicants meeting the above qualification will be interviewed. A test of skills and knowledge will be administered to qualified candidates. Must have a valid drivers’ license with a clean, police and driving record. Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays when required. Random drug testing may be required.
