Inventory Control Associate

Job Title: Inventory Control Associate Department: Fosters Supermarket Reports To: Assistant Store Manager and/or assigned Supervisor Job Summary – Drives and maintains inventory integrity throughout the store including accurate reporting of all inventory transactions, accurate item file information and maintenance, as well as establishing internal controls that will provide for a smooth flow of merchandise through the facility. Job Duties

• Help develop and implement procedures for ensuring that adequate inventory levels are present and accurate.
• Review and coordinate daily perpetual inventory adjustments. Perform daily and weekly Inventory cycle counts as required and as requested.
• Assist Accounting, Data Entry and Buying departments with billing errors caused by inventory variances as required.
• Reconcile store returns and make necessary adjustments. Process returns by verifying items and case counts and issuing any necessary credits.
• Responsible for physically relocating merchandise as necessary to correct inventory problems.
• Work with buyers and Manager and supervision on close-dated product and special requests, etc. daily, to ensure shipping and billing accuracy. This includes maintaining the FIFO process guidelines and addressing any issues when problems arise.
• Trouble shoot any available distress reports in a timely manner and route to appropriate management and supervisor, for follow up actions.
• Promote safety and maintain the awareness of a safe work environment. Always wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment) as required.
• Conduct Fresh Check Audits to ensure product freshness and compliance with rotation guidelines.
• Perform regular Scanning Audits to verify pricing accuracy and product data integrity.
• Support ESL Tag Maintenance by monitoring electronic shelf labels for accuracy and performing updates as needed.
• Maintain and update store signage, ensuring all signs are current, accurate, and compliant.
• Execute scheduled Safety and Sanitation assignments in accordance with store policies.

Requirements

• Ability to read, comprehend, write and speak English.
• Ability to perform office related work, including but not limited to computer skills, calculators, printers/copier/scanners, etc.
• Ability to maintain and enter data accurately on various computer systems.
• Effective organizational and interpersonal skills that allow you to manage several tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow through on projects.
• Ability to work independently and make independent judgements. It is important that the candidate be able to think strategically and possess analytical skills that will allow them to generate, review and analyze various reports.
• Working knowledge and experience of the distribution process, understanding of the picking process and storage operations in the dry grocery and perishable departments is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours as required, including weekends.
• Consistently demonstrate good judgement and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful situations.

Salary Range: KYD 11.05 - $14.92 per hour
