The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance of a fleet consisting of eight (8) dump trucks and one (1) water truck. The role requires a highly skilled and experienced mechanic capable of independently troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. Key responsibilities include engine diagnostics, complete engine rebuilds and overhauls, transmission and drivetrain repairs, hydraulic system troubleshooting and repair, electrical diagnostics and repairs, brake and suspension maintenance, and conducting preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure safe operation. Applicants must demonstrate proven experience working on heavy-duty diesel equipment and possess strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. The successful candidate must also be proficient in the use of computerized diagnostic tools, pressure testing equipment, and other specialized repair instruments used in heavy equipment maintenance and repair. Candidates should be able to work independently, prioritize repairs efficiently, maintain accurate service records, and ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety and operational standards. Previous experience maintaining construction or aggregate fleet vehicles will be considered a strong asset.
