Housekeeper

SUMMARY

We are seeking a part-time housekeeper and general helper at Blue Pavilion, West Bay to maintain the apartments to a high standard and support daily operations.

HOURS OF WORK

• Part-time role (approx. 25 hours per week)
• Flexible schedule – varies weekly
• Includes an on-call element
• Must be available and willing to work on weekends and public holidays

MAIN DUTIES

• Clean, sanitise and prepare guest apartments to a high standard
• Clean and maintain common areas on premises
• Change linens, make beds and restock guest supplies
• Laundry: washing, drying, folding, ironing, organising
• Maintain outdoor areas (patios, porches, entrances) in clean and presentable condition
• Collect and dispose of trash
• Periodic deep cleaning
• Assist with general support tasks and errands as reasonably required from time to time (e.g. organising supplies, basic property upkeep)
• Report maintenance issues promptly
• Provide polite, basic assistance to guests if needed
• Assist with care of plants (including watering and general upkeep) and resident cats

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and pride in work
• Reliable, punctual and well organised
• Able to work quickly under time pressure
• Able to work independently without close supervision
• Honest, trustworthy, and respectful of guest privacy
• Good communication skills in English
• Willing to follow instructions and learn our systems
• Must be comfortable around animals (cats and dogs)
• Must have reliable transport or easy access to West Bay

PHYSICAL & WORKING CONDITIONS

• Physically demanding role requiring energy and stamina
• Regular lifting, bending, standing, and walking throughout shifts
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• This role includes regular indoor and outdoor cleaning work
• Applicants must be able and willing to work in hot, humid conditions and direct sun when required

PREFERRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

• Housekeeping training or certification
• Experience in short-term rentals, hotels, or guest accommodations
• Familiarity with low-chemical / green cleaning methods
