Laborer

Job Summary

Seeking a reliable and hardworking Laborer to assist with general construction and site-related duties. The successful applicant must be physically fit, dependable, able to follow instructions and willing to perform physically demanding work in an outdoor construction environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradesmen and supervisors with general construction duties.
• Load, unload, carry and organize construction materials, tools and equipment.
• Assist with preparation and clean-up of construction sites.
• Remove debris and maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Perform digging, lifting, moving and other general manual labour duties.
• Assist with the movement and delivery of materials and equipment when required.
• Use basic hand tools and equipment as instructed.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled tradesmen.
• Observe workplace health and safety procedures.
• Perform other general construction labour duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous work experience in a physically demanding or general worker role would be an asset.
• Must be physically fit and capable of lifting and carrying construction materials.
• Hardworking, reliable and punctual.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Willing and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license would be an asset.
• Must be flexible to work extended hours and weekends when required.
