Web3 Finance Manager

Role Overview We are seeking a finance professional with proven technical expertise in blockchain-based financial operations, digital asset accounting, and token treasury management. This role supports the strategic and day-to-day operations of our Web3 finance function, operating across multi-chain ecosystems with a focus on transparency, compliance, and financial accuracy. The ideal candidate brings not only hands-on experience with digital asset operations but also broad exposure to a range of decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and ecosystems, having worked across multiple Web3 clients and project environments. This cross-ecosystem fluency is essential to our operations, given the unique and evolving architecture of each protocol and its implications for finance and compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain financial control and reporting accuracy across token flows, staking rewards, gas fees, validator payouts, and digital asset grants.
• Execute daily treasury operations including wallet management, token vesting schedules, and hybrid fiat/crypto reconciliations across multiple blockchain networks.
• Reconcile on-chain and off-chain transactions, ensuring traceability of token movements between custodial accounts, decentralized exchanges, and internal ledgers.
• Prepare transparency and financial reporting across multiple Web3 ecosystems, integrating smart contract data, wallet analytics, and protocol-specific metrics into IFRS-compliant frameworks.
• Conduct financial reviews and due diligence on wallets and counterparties to support AML/KYC protocols and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
• Support the development and adaptation of digital asset accounting policies, including token recognition, cost basis tracking, impairment logic, and vesting treatment tailored to the operational models of different Web3 clients and protocols.
• Build and enhance automated dashboards and reconciliation processes, supporting diverse environments such as treasuries, cross-chain bridges, and token-based grant programs.
• Act as the primary contact for clients, managing day-to-day communications and operations.
• Engage, collaborate with, and manage relationships with clients' service providers, ensuring efficient operations and compliance.
• Manage relationships with key partners and be actively involved in token launch conversations, such as working with market makers, centralized exchanges, and custodians.
• Collaborate with compliance and external finance teams to ensure audit-readiness and operational integrity in dynamic DeFi settings.
• Liaise with external auditors, banking partners, and regulatory stakeholders to maintain transparency and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Coach and onboard new team members within crypto finance and treasury operations, ensuring consistent process knowledge and compliance alignment.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through mentoring, process refinement, and cross-functional knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in finance operations or accounting, with at least 1 year working within Web3 or DeFi ecosystems.
• Demonstrated experience supporting multiple clients or projects across diverse crypto environments, including Foundations, protocol treasuries, DeFi startups, or ecosystem funds.
• Proficiency in reconciling multi-asset token flows, staking transactions, validator rewards, and smart contract-based vesting.
• Familiarity with DeFi tools and infrastructure including blockchain scanners, Chainalysis, Dune, Fathom, QuickBooks (or crypto-integrated equivalents), and multi-chain wallet management platforms.
• Understanding of key crypto-native concepts including liquidity mining, on-chain governance, L2 solutions, validator infrastructure, and treasury decentralization.
• Strong foundation in financial reporting and compliance, with the ability to align Web3 operations with IFRS and/or US GAAP standards.
• Demonstrable experience with preparing and delivering presentations and working directly with clients and service providers.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required. Web3/crypto certifications or demonstrated industry participation (e.g., DAO involvement, community contributions) are an asset.
