KITCHEN HELPER

We are pleased to invite a suitable candidate to fill the position of Kitchen Helper.

Job Description

The Kitchen Helper will assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment and provide support to the chefs and kitchen staff in daily food preparation and operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and food preparation areas.
• Ensure proper storage of food items and supplies in accordance with food safety standards.
• Receive and organize deliveries and assist with stock rotation (FIFO method).
• Dispose of kitchen waste properly and maintain cleanliness of garbage and storage areas.
• Support chefs and cooks during food service periods as required.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and comply with all health and safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
