Job Description

This is a role in which your highly-developed experience with financial analysis, credit, and client acquisition takes center stage. Your finely honed solution-development skills, combined with your natural salesmanship talent, portfolio management expertise, and attention to clients, sets the stage for success. What will you do?

  • Apply your sales skills to acquire, manage, retain and grow a portfolio of clients by prospecting for new and delivering value to existing clients in the Commercial Banking segment.
  • Provide an exceptional client experience by delivering strong financial and business advice tailored to the needs of the client.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with partners to develop and execute a client contact strategy including leveraging of virtual and digital methods; conduct effective business service reviews and identify additional opportunities to deepen and grow relationships.
  • Leverage the expertise of One RBC identifying referral opportunities, making introductions together with appropriate referrals to RBC partners meeting all the needs of the client.
  • Demonstrate portfolio and risk management through the review of financial statements, identifying trends, monitoring risk, and structuring appropriate credit solutions that meet the needs of the client.
  • Champion digital enablement by becoming an advocate for digital transformation. You use, educate and demonstrate to our clients and employees, RBC’s digital and multi-channel solutions. client growth and penetration

What do you need to succeed?

  • University degree, ideally in commerce, finance, business administration, or related professional qualification (CFI or CBCA equivalent)
  • Minimum 3-5 years commercial / business / corporate banking experience
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully originate sales and deliver exceptional client relationship management
  • Credit skills including assessment of risk and financial analysis, credit structuring/solutions and presenting the deal
  • New client acquisition skills (i.e. pitching the value proposition, lead generation, initial customer contact and cold calling, asking for referrals)
  • Strong collaboration, communication, selling and presentation skills
  • Experience and be comfortable with emerging communications and technology (i.e. web based meetings, social media, Digital Banking and Mobile Applications).
