OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The Senior Marketing and Business Development Executive will work closely with partners and senior stakeholders to deliver strategic business development plans, identify new client opportunities, and execute integrated marketing initiatives aligned with the firm’s objectives.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & PERSON SPECIFICATION
Support the execution of the practice group business plans along with the tracking and management of budgets under the guidance of the Marketing & BD Manager.
Conduct client and market research to inform targeting strategies and identify growth opportunities as it relates to specific markets, practices and industries.
Execute planning and support for business development trips, encompassing conference and event coordination to align with the overall business objectives, and assessment of ROI post-trip.
Input into the creation and ongoing development of effective targeting lists for each of the service lines using the firm's CRM and marketing tools.
Collaborate with the wider global marketing and business development teams to drive cross-selling initiatives, share best practices and ensure there is consistency and coordination across all business development and marketing efforts.
Oversee the preparation of directory submissions, client references, and awards nominations.
Drive the development and maintenance of a comprehensive suite of marketing collateral that differentiates the firm's offerings.
Prepare pitches, presentations, and other marketing collateral for use at client meetings, seminars or conferences
Occasionally provide on the ground support for events and conferences.
Draft recurring marketing reports to measure performance of marketing and BD activities, providing insights to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
A bachelor's degree from a recognised university, ideally in marketing, business or communications is essential.
A minimum of three years of marketing and/or business development experience, ideally within the finance or professional services sector. Experience in a law firm is desirable.
Proficiency in MS Office suite is essential. Specific working knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft Teams for collaboration and document management also beneficial.
Knowledge of CRM tools (eg InterAction) and data analytics and visualisation tools (eg PowerBI) to track performance and drive decision making.
Knowledge of mailing platforms (eg Vuture) and pitch creation tools (eg PitchPerfect) is desirable.
Knowledge of website content management systems (CMS) and some familiarity with AI-enhanced productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot or similar) would be beneficial.
