The role involves conducting routine maintenance such as oil changes, greasing, replacing filters, checking fluid levels, and ensuring equipment remains in proper working condition to minimize downtime and operational delays. A diesel mechanic is also responsible for troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, identifying faulty parts, and repairing or replacing damaged components as needed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining service records, ensuring tools and equipment are properly used and stored, and complying with workplace safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
