Janitor

Sparkle and Shine KY is seeking a highly reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Janitor/Commercial Cleaning Technician to join our team. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, maintain high cleaning standards, and perform physically demanding tasks in commercial and residential environments. Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and sanitizing of offices, schools, restrooms, common areas, commercial facilities, and residential properties.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, strip, seal, wax, and polish various floor surfaces.
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, burnishers, carpet extractors, pressure washers, and backpack vacuums.
• Clean interior and exterior windows and glass surfaces.
• Collect, remove, and dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company procedures.
• Restock cleaning supplies and maintain inventory levels.
• Safely use and handle commercial cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacturer instructions and safety regulations.
• Follow all workplace health and safety policies and wear appropriate PPE.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, and supply shortages promptly.
• Maintain company equipment in clean and serviceable condition.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in janitorial or facility cleaning.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Cayman Islands driver's licence and reliable transportation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and in Spanish with customers and suppliers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks, including bending, climbing stairs, standing, and working on ladders.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment and knowledge of proper chemical handling is required.
