Mason

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mason to join our construction team. The Mason will be a contractor and will be responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining structures made of concrete block, sheetrock, and pre-cast concrete. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, solid knowledge of masonry techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. Key Responsibilities

• Lay concrete blocks, and natural or manufactured stone
• Construct and repair walls, foundations, walkways, and other structures
• Mix mortar and grout according to specifications
• Measure and cut materials to required size and shape
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans
• Ensure structures are level, aligned, and structurally sound
• Repair cracks, breaks, and other defects in masonry
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Follow all safety guidelines and building codes

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mason or similar role
• Knowledge of masonry materials, methods, and tools
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Physical stamina and strength (ability to lift heavy materials)
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Strong understanding of safety procedures
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Masonry certification or apprenticeship (preferred)
