We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Labourer/Handyman to support our heavy equipment mechanics operation. The successful applicant will assist with maintaining the workshop, yard, heavy equipment, and general worksite to ensure safe and efficient daily operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop and yard. Clean and wash heavy equipment, machinery, and company vehicles. Perform general groundskeeping and site maintenance. Assist mechanics by moving equipment, tools, parts, and materials. Load and unload equipment and supplies. Prepare equipment for transport to and from job sites. Perform general handyman and labour duties. Follow workplace health and safety procedures. Carry out other related duties as assigned.
No formal educational qualifications required. Previous experience in general labour, construction, landscaping, maintenance, or a mechanical/heavy equipment environment is preferred.
Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour. Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Work is performed primarily outdoors and in a mechanical workshop environment. The position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying materials, and exposure to dust, noise, machinery, and changing weather conditions.
Basic English communication skills are required to understand safety instructions, communicate with supervisors and co-workers, and comply with workplace procedures.
