The successful candidate will play a vital role in executing high-quality structural work across various project commitments throughout the islands. Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesBlueprint & Plan Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret blueprints, architectural plans, and structural specifications. Layout & Measurement: Measure and align project layouts to ensure precise structural accuracy. Material Preparation: Mix exact proportions of cement, sand, and water to produce high-quality mortar and concrete. Construction & Masonry: Construct, lay, and bind building materials (concrete blocks, bricks, stone) for foundations, walls, and structural frameworks. Finishing & Rendering: Apply plaster, rendering, and finishing masonry surfaces to satisfy aesthetic and structural standards. Maintenance & Repair: Assess, repair, and restore existing masonry and concrete structures. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies strictly with local Cayman Islands building codes, structural integrity requirements, and on-site health and safety regulations. Leadership Support: Assist site foremen with daily operational tasks and mentor junior staff members. Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in masonry and general construction. Strong technical ability in block laying, plastering, rendering, and structural concrete work. Proficiency in reading technical architectural plans and blueprints. Excellent work ethic, physical stamina, and attention to detail. Strong knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations. Good conduct, reliability, and teamwork skills.
