PRESIDENT & CEO

Salary: CI$143,262.00 – $166,169.00 per annum The University College of the Cayman Islands ("UCCI") invites qualified individuals to apply for the position of President & CEO. We are seeking a visionary leader to shape the future of higher education in the Cayman Islands.

Dimension

Reporting to the Board of Governors, the President & CEO, is responsible for the development and attainment of the strategic goals and objectives in accordance with the mission of the University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI) as set out by the Board of Governors.

  • The President is also responsible for the institution's leadership, vision, and growth.
  • The President provides guidance and support for the daily operational management of the UCCI as a whole.
  • The President works closely with the Board of Governors and is the liaison between the Governing body and the UCCIs’ management team.
  • The President works closely with leadership throughout the University to develop strategies to strengthen its academic, business, financial and administrative plans and policies to achieve its strategic goals.
  • The President is the key figurehead of the institution, leveraging existing and creating new relationships with key business partners and overseeing entities for the overall support and benefit of the UCCI, particularly in achieving its goals.

Required qualifications, experience and skills include the following

a) A minimum of a master’s degree or other postgraduate qualifications from a recognised university. A minimum of seven (7) years of demonstrated leadership experience and at least four (4) years serving at a senior executive level within education or a comparable complex organisational environment. b) A professional designation in support of the role is desirable. c) A goal-oriented, visionary and strategic thinker. d) A proven commitment to the values of academic integrity. e) A commitment to ensure the Institution meets international standards of teaching and learning excellence. f) Proven and demonstrated management skills, able to address multiple priorities in a complex operating environment. g) A clear and respectful communicator both in writing and orally. h) People management experience, and a high propensity for innovation and agility. i) Superior public speaking, presentation and interpersonal skills are essential; this includes the capacity to effectively translate complex technical language and issues into terms that are easily understood and actionable, and the ability to build effective relationships both internally and with external stakeholders. j) An enthusiasm to engage directly and successfully in fundraising. k) Able to demonstrate strategic thinking and success executing priorities that drive improved operating performance; and l) Ability to balance competing demands and multiple responsibilities, making progress on long-term projects and addressing urgent needs. ____________________________________________________________________________________ The remuneration package for the successful candidate is offered without deductions. An additional 12% pension contribution and 100% health insurance coverage for the employee and their dependents.
