We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our Filipino cuisine restaurant. The ideal candidate will help deliver high-quality food, manage daily food preparation, handle purchase orders, and stay updated on new products, recipes, and preparation techniques. You will work closely with the Manager to maintain the standards and quality set by the restaurant. Position: Cook Salary: KYD $400/week

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute menus in collaboration with kitchen staff.
• Prepare dishes according to correct recipes, portions, and timing.
• Maintain high productivity in the kitchen, ensuring speed and food quality.
• Estimate daily production needs and check the quality of raw and cooked products.
• Suggest new ways of presenting dishes.
• Anticipate shortages and communicate promptly with the Manager.
• Ensure all stock is kept in top condition.
• Place timely orders for supplies and ingredients.
• Follow directions from the Manager.
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency remain high.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment; report malfunctions.
• Check expiry dates and ensure proper storage.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Maintain a positive, communicative, and efficient work environment.
• Serve customers professionally when required.
• Learn menu items and daily specials.
• Keep work areas and tools clean and organized.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform.
• Provide feedback and report issues.
• Demonstrate a “can do” attitude at all times.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications

• Caymanian/Permanent Resident
• Experience cooking Filipino cuisine.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience with inventory control is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented and efficient in fast-paced environments.
• Strong teamwork and professionalism.
