Job Description

Cay Construction is seeking a reliable and hardworking Mason/Steel Fixer/Carpenter to join our team. We are looking for a motivated individual who is committed to safety, efficiency, and delivering high-quality workmanship on every project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform masonry, steel fixing, and carpentry duties as assigned on construction projects
  • Read and interpret basic construction drawings and specifications
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials according to project requirements
  • Install and secure steel reinforcement bars, mesh, and related materials
  • Construct, repair, and install wooden frameworks, structures, and fixtures
  • Mix and apply concrete, mortar, and other construction materials
  • Load, unload, and properly secure tools and materials to prevent damage or safety hazards
  • Prepare and maintain clean and organized work sites
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth project flow
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and contractors on-site
  • Assist with urgent or high-priority construction tasks when required

Requirements

  • Previous experience in masonry, steel fixing, carpentry, or general construction is required
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety practices
  • Ability to read measurements and use construction tools accurately
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Ability to perform manual labour, including climbing, bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when needed

Working Hours & Benefits

  • Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday - Saturday
  • Benefits: Statutory benefits provided
