Job Description

Food & Beverage Server Job Summary The dynamic Food & Beverage Server will be responsible for delivering warm, attentive, and professional service to guests in the Resort’s restaurants, bars, and other dining outlets. This role involves taking accurate orders, serving food and beverages with flair, utilizing suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience and revenue, maintaining impeccable cleanliness and organization, and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and liquor service regulations in a luxury hospitality environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The successful applicant will take orders for and serve all food and beverage requests, using suggestive selling techniques.
  • Clear tables during service.
  • Control guest checks and secure proper payment.
  • Ensure station and table set-ups are complete and perform various side duties as assigned by the Outlet Supervisor
  • Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas and servicing equipment.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High school or equivalent education required. Hospitality degree preferred.
  • Two years experience as food server in full service restaurant is required. Customer service experience preferred
  • Must possess strong computer skills including micros P.O.S.
  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
  • Ability to describe all menu items, prices and methods of preparation. And to use suggestive selling techniques to encourage the guests to choose items that are house specialties.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel food and beverage operations.
  • Strong knowledge of food and alcoholic beverages
  • Perform general cleaning tasks utilizing cleaning products to adhere to health and safety standards
  • Knowledge of local laws, ordinances and regulations regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated patrons.
  • CARE certification

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality degree or formal training preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Food Server in a full-service restaurant or hotel dining outlet.
  • Prior customer service experience in a hospitality environment strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Micros POS (or similar restaurant point-of-sale systems) for order entry, check management, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware, food presentation, and fine dining etiquette.
  • In-depth understanding of hotel food and beverage operations, menu items, preparation methods, and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverage offerings.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
  • Strong computer skills, including Micros POS and basic Microsoft Office applications.
