WAREHOUSE HELPER

Job Summary

The Warehouse Helper assists in the efficient and organized operation of the warehouse by performing tasks related to receiving, storing, preparing, and dispatching goods. The role supports inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and overall warehouse cleanliness and safety. ________________________________________

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving & Unloading

o Assist in unloading deliveries and incoming shipments. o Check, count, and verify items against delivery documents. o Report any discrepancies or damaged items immediately.

• Storage & Organization

o Move materials to their designated storage areas. o Ensure items are properly labeled and stored safely. o Maintain an organized and clutter-free warehouse environment.

• Order Preparation

o Pick, pack, and prepare items according to order sheets. o Ensure accuracy and completeness of orders before dispatch. o Assist in loading outbound shipments into company or vendor vehicles.

• Inventory Support

o Assist in routine stock counts and inventory audits. o Notify supervisors of low-stock items or stock irregularities. o Help maintain inventory records when needed.

• Equipment Handling

o Use pallet jacks, carts, and other basic warehouse tools safely. o Assist forklift operators by preparing materials and clearing pathways.

• Safety & Housekeeping

o Follow all warehouse safety rules and PPE requirements. o Keep aisles, shelves, and work areas clean and hazard-free. o Report any safety issues, hazards, or equipment concerns promptly.

• General Support

o Assist colleagues and supervisors with daily warehouse tasks. o Perform other tasks as assigned to support warehouse operations. ________________________________________

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Basic reading, writing, and counting skills.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry materials (typically 30–50 lbs).
• Physically fit and able to stand, walk, or bend for extended periods.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Previous warehouse experience is an advantage but not required.
