Position located in Cayman Brac *
We are accepting applications for the following position
LINE COOK
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and cook foods of all types on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
Maintain purchasing, receiving and food storage standards.
Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
Recognize superior quality products, presentations, and flavor.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Follow proper handling and right temperature of all food products.
Operate and maintains all department equipment and report malfunctions.
Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
Follow recipes and maintain high standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum three (3) years experience in a high-volume hotel and restaurant environment as a Line Cook
2 year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, or related professional area
Passionate culinarian with great palette and sense of presentation
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well in environment with time constraints
Ability to troubleshoot effectively
Detail-oriented with good organizational skills, performing work accurately and efficiently
Demonstrated excellent communication skills
Must maintain a professional image and demonstrable leadership skills
Ability to lift 50lbs; sit, stand, walk for an extended period of time
Must be comfortable working a flexible schedule and have the ability to work outside of normal business hours (i.e. evenings, weekends and public holidays, as needed)
