COMPANY: WAYNE D. A. LYNCH T/A LYNCH CONSTRUCTION

Location: Grand Cayman We are seeking a versatile and highly experienced Mason/Carpenter to join our construction team in the Cayman Islands. The ideal candidate is a dual-threat craftsman with a deep understanding of structural integrity, finish aesthetics, and the unique building requirements of a Caribbean environment. With over 5 years of professional experience, you will be responsible for executing high-quality work on both residential and commercial projects, ensuring all builds meet the Cayman Islands Building Code.

Key Responsibilities

Masonry: Layout, cutting, and placement of blocks, bricks, and natural stone. Expert application of mortar, plastering, and various stucco finishes. Carpentry: Executing both rough and finish carpentry, including framing, roofing, installing doors/windows, and high-end cabinetry or trim work. Formwork: Constructing and setting forms for concrete foundations, slabs, and reinforced columns. Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and accurately executing technical drawings and specifications. Maintenance: Repairing existing structures, including refurbishing historical masonry or woodwork damaged by salt air or age. Safety: Maintaining a clean and hazard-free job site in accordance with OSH standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in both masonry and carpentry. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with power tools, leveling equipment, and various bonding agents. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in high temperatures and humidity. Reliability: Strong work ethic with a track record of punctuality and meeting project deadlines. Salary, Benefits & Compensation In strict accordance with the Cayman Islands Labour Act: Hourly Rate: CI$12.00 per hour (minimum). Work Week: Standard 40-hour week.
