Housekeeping Manager

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring guestrooms, public areas, and associate areas are maintained to established cleanliness, presentation, and service standards. The role supervises daily housekeeping activities, room inspections, staffing, inventory, and operational procedures while supporting guest and associate satisfaction and departmental financial objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily Housekeeping operations and ensure compliance with established Marriott International policies, procedures, cleanliness, and service standards.
• Conduct guestroom and public-area inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Coordinate room assignments, priorities, and room-status communication with Front Office and other operational departments.
• Monitor staffing levels and schedules according to business demands while supporting productivity and budget objectives.
• Manage departmental supplies, equipment, uniforms, and inventory.
• Train, coach, motivate, and provide ongoing feedback to Housekeeping associates.
• Support performance management, recognition, and associate engagement initiatives.
• Respond to guest concerns and implement corrective actions to continuously improve guest satisfaction.
• Ensure appropriate use of cleaning products and equipment and adherence to health, safety, security, and sanitation requirements.
• Support the overall leadership of Housekeeping and, where applicable, Laundry operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' progressive leadership experience in Housekeeping in an international hotel.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively supervise and develop a diverse team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Good knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning techniques and equipment, inventory management, room inspections, and health and safety practices.
• Advanced computer skills and ability to effectively manage operational information, schedules, and departmental records.
• Strong commitment to guest service, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
