Job Opening: Mobile Mechanic & Tire Installer Company: ANDREW HARRY T/A Kings Mechanic, Cayman Islands Position Type: Full-Time Experience Required: 10+ Years Kings Mechanic is expanding its mobile service fleet and is looking for a highly skilled, independent, and customer-focused Mobile Mechanic & Tire Installer. If you have over a decade of hands-on automotive repair experience and enjoy the dynamic environment of mobile roadside and on-site service, we want you on our team. Duties and Responsibilities On-Site Service: Travel to client locations (homes, offices, and roadside breakdowns) across the island to perform efficient, high-quality vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs. Tire Installation: Mount, demount, patch, balance, and rotate tires for a wide variety of vehicle makes and models using mobile tire equipment. Routine Maintenance: Execute standard mechanical work including oil changes, brake pad and rotor replacements, battery swaps, and fluid top-offs. Diagnostics: Conduct comprehensive safety and mechanical inspections, utilizing OBD2 scanners and diagnostic software to identify underlying issues. Fleet Management: Maintain the mobile service vehicle, ensuring all tools, machinery, and inventory are secure, organized, and properly calibrated. Customer Service: Explain mechanical issues clearly to customers, provide transparent estimates, and ensure a professional and courteous client experience. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: A minimum of 10 years of proven professional experience as an automotive mechanic and tire technician. Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of modern automotive electrical, mechanical, and computer systems. Licensing: A valid Cayman Islands Driver’s License (Group 2 or 3 preferred) with a clean driving record. Self-Sufficiency: The ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues without immediate workshop support. Physical Stamina: Capable of working outdoors in the Cayman climate and lifting heavy tires and equipment (up to 50 lbs) safely. Communication: Fluent in English with strong interpersonal skills for direct customer interaction. Salary, Work Hours, and Benefits Compensation and benefits are provided in strict accordance with the Cayman Islands Labour Act.
Salary Range: CI$12.00 per hour Work Hours: Standard Schedule: 45 hours per week (maximum 9 hours per standard workday).
