Shelf Stocker/Store Assistant

The Shelf Stocker/Store Assistant will be responsible for the following

• Unpacks products received by stores, stocks shelves, racks, and display areas with merchandise, and stores extra items in stockrooms.
• Checks for damaged/expired items and reports these findings to Store Supervisor.
• Regularly checks shelves and displays to ensure that they are well-stocked, attractively organized, and that merchandise is protected from damage.
• Reports out-of-stock situations to Store Supervisor.
• Directs customers to desired items, and anticipates customers’ needs as much as possible.
• Obtains merchandise for customers from shelf or stockroom.
• Cleans up broken items and other messes.
• Sweeps aisles, dusts display racks/shelves, and performs other general cleaning duties.
• Bags purchases for customers.
• Carries customers purchases out to the parking lot, and helps pack groceries into their vehicles, as needed.
• May serve as back-up cashier if needed, and only on instruction from Management.

In addition, all staff are expected to follow the Company policies listed below:

• Maintain a clean, smart appearance at all times. (Staff are issued with “Reflections” polo-type shirts and these should be worn as directed.)
• Follow published work schedules and strictly adhere to times indicated thereon.
• No eating, drinking, smoking, chewing of gum in the stores.
• We have a zero tolerance policy with regards to drugs and alcohol, and we reserve the right to test any employee suspected of having a problem.
• Use of cellular phones during working hours is prohibited. Cellular phone use

should be reserved for breaks and lunch hours.

• Courtesy and respect must be shown to all customers at all times. Customer service is the key to success.

1-2 Year experience relevant to the role, with good customer service and sales skills. Must be willing to work shift hours, public holidays, and weekends. Must be well-groomed, a team-player and can work well under pressure. Punctuality and reliability are absolute essentials.
