Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure heavy truck / heavy equipment are safe and roadworthy.
Inspect and monitor brakes, wheel bearings, steering systems, fluid levels, and other essential mechanical components.
Document and report vehicle conditions and maintenance requirements.
Safely operate heavy truck/heavy equipment to transport aggregates and related products to various project sites in accordance with delivery schedules.
Assist with the loading and unloading of materials including sand, gravel, and crushed stone.
Coordinate with contractors and customers to assess site conditions and ensure safe, efficient deliveries.
Maneuver heavy truck/ heavy equipment in confined spaces while adhering to safety procedures and loading instructions.
Comply with all workplace health and safety regulations and maintain a hazard-free work environment.
Promptly report equipment malfunctions, defects, or safety concerns to management.
Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of company trucks and equipment through routine washing and upkeep.
Provide professional customer service and ensure timely deliveries at all times.
Requirements
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the operation of heavy trucks and heavy equipment.
Possession of a valid Group 4 Driver’s License or equivalent, with a clean driving record.
High School Diploma or equivalent qualification required.
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
Physically fit and capable of safely lifting and carrying items weighing up to approximately 50 lbs.
Flexibility to work varying schedules, including overtime, weekends, and occasional night shifts as required.
Ability to work efficiently in dusty and physically demanding environments.
Must provide a valid and clean Police Clearance Certificate.
Working Hours: Normal working hours are on a shift basis, not exceeding 45 hours per week, Monday through Saturday.
