DAC Ltd is seeking a Junior HVAC Technician responsible for assisting with general and preventive maintenance duties, troubleshooting, servicing and repairs of various types of AC systems at residential, industrial and commercial sites in Grand Cayman.
Min 2 years' experience installing, servicing and repairing mini-split systems, central AC systems and VRV systems (a combination of education and experience may be considered) Strong attention to detail with basic ability to understand blueprints and construction sketches as well as interpret manufacturer instructions, specifications and technical diagrams Relevant trade qualifications and prior experience installing and servicing Daikin systems is strongly preferred Ability to work overtime, weekends and public holidays as needed and be able to participate in rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 customer service Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines Ability to assist with the installation of copper tubing, line sets, comms cables, refrigeration accessories, thermostats, etc. Ability to assist with the fabrication and installation of various types of air conditioning ductwork is strongly preferred Must possess a clean police record and be able to provide 2 verifiable references on employment history/experience relevant to the position
