GARDENER

The Gardener maintains attractive, healthy, and well-kept outdoor spaces through lawn care, planting, pruning, irrigation support, and general landscape maintenance. The role requires practical knowledge of sod and turf installation, plant care, safe equipment operation, and the proper use of landscaping materials, herbicides, and other landscape treatments.

• Install and maintain sod, turf, grass, trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, ground cover, and other landscape plantings.
• Perform routine grounds maintenance, including tree pruning, hedge trimming, weeding, edging, mulching, and general clean-up.
• Operate riding mowers, lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Plant grass, trees, shrubs, flowers, and ground cover according to site plans, seasonal needs, and property standards.
• Assist with irrigation and drainage systems by performing basic inspections, supporting maintenance, and reporting issues promptly.
• Apply herbicides and other landscape treatments safely, following product instructions and workplace safety procedures.
• Monitor plant and lawn health, identify pest, disease, drainage, or irrigation concerns, and report problems in a timely manner.
• Ability to follow instructions, work outdoors, and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, attractive grounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, stand, walk, and perform repetitive landscaping tasks as required.
