Banquet Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Banquet Manager is responsible for overseeing all banquet operations; ensuring seamless execution of events, high-quality service and guest satisfaction. This role involves coordinating with clients, overseeing banquet staff, maintaining budgetary goals, and upholding hotel standards for events such as weddings, conferences and various corporate functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Oversee the planning, set up, execution and breakdown of all banquet events.
• Ensure banquet spaces are properly arranged according to client specifications and hotel standards.
• Work closely with the kitchen, audio-visual and sales team to ensure smooth event execution.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety and organization in all banquet areas.
• Collaborate with the sales team and meet with clients to discuss event details; ensuring all requirements are met.
• Address and resolve guest concerns or last-minute changes professionally.
• Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among associates.
• Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and feedback.
• Recruit, train, schedule and supervise banquet servers, bartenders and housepersons.
• Manage banquet budgets, control labor costs and optimize profitability.
• Track food and beverage consumption and ensure proper inventory of banquet supplies, linens and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with liquor laws and food safety regulations.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and liquor service regulations (including TIPS or equivalent certification).
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports on event performance, labor utilization, guest feedback, and operational challenges.
• Oversee inventory of banquet equipment, glassware, linens, and supplies; coordinate ordering and maintenance as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by core leadership to support the overall success of the Banquet Team.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5-6 years of progressive experience in banquets or event management required.
• 9-10 Years of overall Food & Beverage and Hospitality experience in Luxury 4 Diamond Resort required.
• Strong knowledge of banquet service standards, event logistics, food safety, and beverage operations required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, POS systems, and banquet management software.
• Valid food handler’s and alcohol service certifications preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Proven ability to lead and motivate large teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; perform physical tasks including lifting, pushing or pulling 35-50 Ibs.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests, clients, and colleagues at all levels.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.

Salary $70,000 – 85,000 KYD per Annum Benefits: Health Insurance, Pension, Vacation & Sick leave and other benefits as required by the Cayman Islands Law. Deadline to apply is July 23rd, 2026
