Laboratory Technician Labourer

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for conducting tests on construction materials to ensure they meet required standards and specifications. The role involves accurate testing, reporting, and maintenance of laboratory equipment to support quality control in construction projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing on construction materials including soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates
• Prepare, label, and handle samples in accordance with established testing procedures
• Accurately record, analyse, and report test results
• Ensure all testing is conducted in compliance with industry standards and company protocols
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and tools
• Assist with field testing and site inspections when required
• Monitor quality control processes and identify any non-compliant materials
• Maintain proper documentation and laboratory records
• Follow all health and safety regulations and laboratory safety procedures
• Communicate results and findings to supervisors and relevant personnel
• Support overall laboratory operations and assist with additional technical tasks as needed
