Job Description
We are seeking an IT Production and Operations Lead to join our team
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end development and launch of IT and software products from initial concept and requirements definition through production release and ongoing lifecycle management.
Design, contribute to and oversee systems architecture, core application development, and technical product design, maintaining a hands-on role where required.
Build, hire, onboard, and manage a team of software developers and technical contractors, ensuring clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards.
Establish and manage development workflows, task prioritisation, sprint or milestone planning, and delivery schedules to ensure predictable execution.
Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements and vice-versa.
Manage the back-office operations of a software and technology business, including budgeting, cost control, vendor relationships and operational planning.
Coordinate with external legal, accounting, compliance and administrative advisors to ensure smooth compliant business operations.
Lead company incorporation and operational set up activities and operational readiness.
Define and maintain internal governance frameworks, operational strategy, balancing innovation with financial discipline and execution realities.
Requirements
Proven hands-on experience personally developing and launching IT or software products from concept to production in a commercial entrepreneurial environment.
Strong technical background in systems architecture, core application development, or technical product design, with the ability to engage deeply on technical decisions.
Demonstrated experience hiring, onboarding, and managing software engineers and technical contractors.
Track record of building and leading small-to medium size software or technology teams with clear delivery accountability.
Practical experience organising development workflows, managing milestones, and delivering products against defined timelines.
Direct experience managing back-office operations for a software or technology business, including budgeting, cost management and vendor oversight.
Hands-on experience incorporating a company and setting up all required operational components including banking, governance, and internal processes.
Solid understanding of corporate structuring, operational readiness, and coordination with external professional advisors.
Strong awareness of current and emerging trends in IT and software development, with the ability to align technology decisions to business objectives.
Entrepreneurial, highly structured, and detail-oriented mindset, with the willingness and ability to execute tasks personally and in fast-evolving, early-stage environments.
Salary and Benefits
Salary will be commensurate with experience and in the range of US$110,000-US$120,000 per annum plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Health insurance and pension benefits in accordance with Cayman Islands Law.
