Specific requirements and expectations for the Deck Hand position at Captain Chris Charters Ltd. We are looking for a dependable individual who is prepared to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late evenings as needed. It would be beneficial to have someone with at least 4-5 years fishing experience. The ideal candidate must possess strong maritime knowledge, including the ability to maneuver the vessel and maintain all onboard equipment. Experience in routine boat maintenance is essential to ensure the vessel remains in peak operational condition. Additionally, we value a team player who can collaborate effectively with the rest of the crew. Most importantly, this role requires a high level of proficiency in fishing deck hand duties. This includes handling rods and reels, baiting lines, and expertly bringing in fish once they are hooked. Maintaining strict boat safety standards for both the crew and our clients is a top priority at all times. Finally, you must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, fellow crew members, and maritime authorities.
