Electronic Technician

Position Summary The Electronic Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing consumer electronic devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other mobile and electronic equipment. The role ensures repairs are completed accurately and efficiently, customer devices are handled with care, and service quality supports overall customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Diagnostics & Repair

• Diagnose hardware and software issues in smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other consumer electronics.
• Perform repairs including screen, battery, charging port, camera, and motherboard-level component replacement.
• Test repaired devices to confirm full functionality before return to customer.
• Identify and escalate devices requiring specialized or manufacturer-level repair.

Customer Service

• Communicate with customers regarding diagnosis, repair timelines, and costs.
• Provide accurate repair quotes and explain repair options in clear, non-technical terms.
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner when handling customer devices and inquiries.
• Follow up with customers on repair status and completion.

Inventory & Parts Management

• Track parts and components used for each repair.
• Monitor stock levels of common repair parts and flag reorder needs.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of replacement parts and tools.
• Maintain calibration and working condition of repair tools and equipment.

Administrative Support

• Maintain accurate repair logs, work orders, and service records.
• Document diagnostic findings and repair actions for each job.
• Support point-of-sale processing for repair transactions when needed.
• Assist with warranty claims and manufacturer documentation.

Workspace & Safety

• Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe repair workstation.
• Follow proper handling procedures for batteries and sensitive electronic components.
• Ensure customer devices and data are handled securely and confidentially.

Requirements

• Proven experience repairing smartphones, tablets, laptops, or similar consumer electronics.
• Working knowledge of common device architectures (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS).
• Proficiency with micro-soldering, precision tools, and diagnostic software is needed.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair jobs simultaneously.
• Good communication skills for customer-facing interactions.
