Dump Truck Driver

A professional trucking company is seeking an experienced Dump Truck Driver with a valid Group 4 driving licence to transport aggregates from a quarry to customer sites. This role requires a highly skilled driver capable of operating independently, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport aggregates from the quarry to customer locations
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting mechanical issues promptly to the Heavy Duty Mechanic
• Ensure trucks are loaded safely, tarped correctly, and deliveries are completed without incident
• Obtain customer signatures on delivery slips and maintain accurate delivery and trip records
• Maintain regular communication with supervisors for dispatch instructions, route updates, and operational guidance
• Conduct weekly cleaning, basic servicing, and minor maintenance of trucks to ensure optimal performance
• Follow all road safety regulations and laws

Requirements

• Valid Group 4 driving licence
• Proven experience driving dump trucks in aggregate transport or material hauling operations
• Strong knowledge of vehicle inspections, load securing, and safe driving practices
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety

• Experience in aggregate transport or quarry logistics
