Mason/ Tiler

We are looking to hire a skilled Tiler/ Mason with knowledge of various carpentry techniques. You will be responsible for the layout, installation, repairing, and finishing, of multiple structures, fixtures, and buildings. The Tiler is duties for installing floor tile, ceramic, and wood. Other responsibilities will include designing, cutting, and measuring materials according to a client's requirements. Mason who can cut, dress and lay stone, and who is proficient with both modern power tools and traditional hand tools. Masons can expect to work in all weather and with various materials, lift and carry heavy objects, and read and assess technical drawings. Their responsibilities include texturing stone blocks of stone, installing dressed stone, mixing cement and mortar, and restoring old and damaged masonry works. Tiler/ Mason Responsibilities

• Meeting with clients to discuss their tiling and marbling needs.
• Measuring the area that must be tiled or marbled to determine stock requirements.
• Providing clients with accurate quotes for the intended job.
• Ordering stock supplies and gathering tiling equipment.
• Cutting and shaping tiles or marble to size.
• Cleaning and leveling the surface area.
• Applying tiling cement and arranging tiles or marble according to design plans.
• Applying tiling grout.
• Maintaining tools and workspaces.
• Cutting, shaping and dressing materials.
• Lifting, carrying and placing prepared blocks.
• Reading and following technical drawings.
• Training apprentices.
• Mixing cement and mortar.
• Restoring old and worn masonry.
