Provide specialist medical care in both obstetrics and gynaecology for out-patients and in-patients.
Evaluate patients by performing and documenting comprehensive medical histories, physical examinations, and gynaecological/obstetric assessments.
Manage antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care for pregnant women, including monitoring, labour management, and delivery.
Perform gynaecological examinations and procedures such as PAP smears, diagnostic and therapeutic D&C, and gynaecologic sonography.
Develop and implement initial and ongoing plans of care for adolescent and adult patients, including preventive health measures.
Advise patients and community members regarding diet, activity, hygiene, disease prevention, family planning, and reproductive health.
Analyse and interpret records, laboratory results, imaging, and diagnostic tests to guide patient management.
Maintain interdisciplinary collaboration by consulting with primary care physicians, anaesthetists, paediatricians, mental health specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient information, medical histories, and treatment plans.
Explain diagnostic results, treatment options, and procedures to patients and families in a clear and compassionate manner.
Keep up to date with the latest medical treatments, technologies, and developments in obstetrics and gynaecology.
Demonstrate a willingness to accept professional responsibility with strong teamwork, administrative, and organizational skills.
Exhibit a professional, approachable, and collaborative demeanour when working with healthcare colleagues, management, and patients.
Qualification
MBBS, MD/Medicine Doctor, Post Graduate Diploma, DNB, DM/Doctorate of Medicine. Valid Registration or eligible to register in Cayman Medical Dental Council Location: East End and George Town
