Key Duties & Responsibilities
Lay concrete blocks, bricks, stone, and tiles with precision and high standard of finish. Set up formwork, pour, spread, screed, and finish concrete for slabs, footings, walkways, columns, and beams. Mix, apply, and repair plaster, render, mortar, and stucco to interior and exterior surfaces. Repair cracked masonry, damaged concrete structures, and grout block walls.
Construct structural framework, including walls, floors, partitions, and timber roof trusses. Build, erect, and strip wooden formwork and shuttering for concrete placement. Install doors, windows, drywall, baseboards, trims, cabinetry, and hardware. Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, timber composites, and alternative building materials.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans accurately. Safely operate and maintain all hand and power tools (saws, drills, mixers, angle grinders, levels).
