Tire Repairman

Tire Repairman Location: Cayman Islands Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: CI$8.75 per hour Hours: 45 hours per week We are seeking an experienced Tire Repairman to join our busy automotive repair shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, replacing, balancing, and maintaining tires on customer vehicles while providing efficient, professional service. Key Duties & Responsibilities Speak with customers to understand and assess tire-related concerns. Inspect tires for tread depth, wear patterns, damage, valve condition, and overall safety. Recommend appropriate tire repairs or replacements based on inspection findings. Repair punctures and replace faulty or damaged valves. Remove and install tires safely and efficiently. Balance tires and perform wheel alignment procedures as required. Rotate tires and carry out other routine tire services. Conduct roadside tire repairs and provide roadside assistance when required. Conduct tire inventory and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained. Maintain tire service equipment and tools in safe working condition. Keep the shop, work areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times. Clean up work areas promptly after completing repairs and services. Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain high industry standards. Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times. Perform other related duties as required. Requirements & Qualifications Previous experience working as a tire technician, tire repairman, or in a similar automotive role. Strong knowledge of tire repair, replacement, balancing, rotation, and wheel alignment procedures. Ability to identify tire wear, damage, and safety concerns accurately. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently in a busy repair-shop environment. Physically fit and able to perform demanding tasks, including lifting and handling tires and equipment. Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A valid driver's licence is an asset, particularly for roadside assistance duties. Compensation & Benefits CI$8.75 per hour 45 hours per week, full-time Benefits in accordance with the Cayman Islands Labour Act and applicable legislation.
