Driver

Big Brothers Movers Ltd. is seeking a “part-time” Errand Driver. This person will be responsible for moving trucks from home or business moves and assist with delivering items from a store or warehouse to customers’ homes with our pickup and delivery service. All movers and drivers must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background check, and a high school diploma or GED is required. Drivers must have previous experience with delivery and be able to lift heavy items, which may weigh over 100 lbs.

Other Responsibilities may include

• Transporting and securing personal belongings from the original location to the destination
• Lifting items and loading them into the truck for transportation
• Carrying boxes up and down stairs safely
• Being proficient when using tools and moving equipment
• Installing, assembling, and dismantling furniture and other household items
• Packing items, including breakables, carefully
• Following itinerary, keeping track of paperwork, and managing inventories
• Facilitating communication between team members, customers, and booking agents
• Operating a moving van/box truck and navigating it safely to the set destination

Candidates are required to have a Group 4 License to operate all vehicles. A minimum of 5 years’ experience with a clean driving record. Passing a background check and/or drug test. Meeting the requirements of the company’s insurance agency. Ability to operate box truck/van and ability to lift a minimum of 100 pounds. Candidates must be flexible and available to work 7 days a week, early mornings and late evening as required. Salary range will be CI$1,300 to CI$1,600 per month depending on qualifications, knowledge and experience, working up to 22.5 hours per week. Benefits as deemed by law.
