STEEL FIXER/MASON

Company: Pythagorean Construction Job Type: Full-Time Work Hours: 45 hours per week (Overtime and holiday work may be required) Job Summary Pythagorean Construction is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Steelman/Mason with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate must be dependable, hardworking, and capable of performing both steel fixing and masonry duties to a high standard. Duties and Responsibilities

Steelman Responsibilities

• Cut, bend, and install steel reinforcement bars (rebar) according to structural drawings
• Tie rebar and assemble reinforcement cages
• Install steel for beams, columns, slabs, and foundations
• Ensure proper placement and alignment before concrete pouring

Mason Responsibilities

• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and stone according to plans
• Mix and apply mortar and grout
• Construct and repair walls, foundations, and other masonry structures
• Interpret blueprints and construction specifications
• Ensure quality workmanship and structural integrity

General Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
• Keep the worksite clean and organized
• Work overtime and on holidays when required
• Meet project deadlines and quality standards

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of proven experience as a Steelman and/or Mason
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and safety practices
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labor
• Willing to work 45 hours per week, plus overtime and holidays when necessary
• Valid Police Record (clean criminal background check required)
• Two (2) Character References required
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Compensation
