A Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in assigned areas such as offices, schools, hospitals, hotels, or residential buildings. The role involves performing routine cleaning tasks and ensuring all spaces are neat, sanitary, and presentable.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors. Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, and surfaces. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas. Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly. Replenish cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed. Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces. Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors. Follow health and safety regulations and cleaning procedures. Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively. Ensure all assigned areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
Previous cleaning experience is an advantage but not always required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good attention to detail. Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks. Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment. Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
