Applicant must have at least 5 years’ experience with mowing, edging, fertilizing, watering, lawn care, sprinkler systems, maintaining flower beds, debris removal, planting of new trees and ornamental plants, weeding, mulching, pruning, and pest/disease control of plants. Must have comprehensive knowledge of tools and equipment used for landscaping work as well as ability to perform basic maintenance and repairs of said tools and equipment. Must have and eye for detail and keep work areas clean. Must have a good understanding of Horticulture including plant identification and the use of fertilizers and pesticide. This position requires working outdoors therefore applicant must possess strength, stamina, manual dexterity, and ability to work in various weather conditions. Applicant may need to work independently with little supervision so it is necessary to be able to pay attention to detail, have problem-solving and time management skills, and have the ability to communicate while providing excellent customer service. Must be able to keep records accurately. Must have a clean, police and driving record. Only applicants meeting the above criteria will be contacted for an interview. A practical test of skills and knowledge will be administered during the interview. Drug testing may be required.
