CARPENTER

C & M Group of Companies T/A Open C Construction is seeking a Full-time skilled carpenter with knowledge of various carpentry techniques.

Duties include but are not limited to

Responsible for layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures, fixtures, and buildings. Responsible for designing, cutting, and measuring materials according to a client's requirements. Assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation. Compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service. Manage building materials, machinery, and tools according to project plans and specifications. Erect and dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps and other temporary structures. Install and dismantle concrete forms, concrete mixing. Perform minor plumbing and electrical work.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or a minimum of 5 years' experience as a journey-level carpenter. Good communication skills. Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination. Knowledge of mathematics. Thorough understanding of carpentry techniques and use of hand tools and equipment. Strong physical condition and endurance. With a clean police record.
