Dispensing Optician

Optical Outlook is seeking a Dispensing Optician. Optical Outlook has been the leading eye care provider in the Cayman Islands for more than 30 years and now needs a suitably qualified and experienced Dispensing Optician to satisfy continued growth and demand. The suitable candidate will require a minimum of ten years’ experience working in practice and will possess appropriate academic qualifications, for example the British Association of Dispensing Opticians, or equivalent. Candidates will need excellent technical knowledge of lenses and frames and will also need the ability to apply their technical skills to dispensing services and problem solving. Additionally, experience of working in optical laboratories would be a benefit. Daily tasks will include providing an excellent service to patients, advising on frame fitting and lens recommendations, making frame adjustments and processing dispenses. Candidates should be familiar with using patient management software, making appointments, liaising with suppliers and insurance providers and be familiar with pre-testing optical equipment. Compensation will be based on experience in the range of CI$40,000 to CI$55,000 and will include benefits in line with the requirements of the Cayman Islands Labour Law.
