We meet our clients wherever they are, whether that’s at the gym, at their home, at their personal gym, or even online! The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience working with diverse populations, with a special focus on senior wellness and rehabilitation. You will be responsible for creating personalized fitness programs that promote strength, weight management, and overall health, while also catering to the specific needs of our clients. Job Duties & Responsibilities
Personalized Program Design: Creating safe, effective, and progressive workout
plans tailored to individual goals and physical limitations.
Client Assessment: Conducting comprehensive fitness evaluations to determine a
client’s current health status, goals, and needs.
Proprioception Training: Developing and implementing exercises that improve
balance, coordination, and body awareness, particularly important for fall prevention in the elderly.
Plyometric Training: Applying low-impact, explosive movements to improve
muscular power and reaction time in a safe and controlled manner.
Motivational Coaching: Inspiring and guiding clients to achieve their fitness goals
through positive reinforcement and effective communication.
Equipment Proficiency: Safe and correct use of a wide range of gym equipment
and training tools. Basic maintenance of gym equipment. Position Knowledge Requirements
Anatomy and Kinesiology: Deep understanding of human movement, muscle
functions, and biomechanics.
Exercise Physiology: Principles of cardiorespiratory and muscular adaptations to
exercise.
Special Populations: Specific considerations and contraindications for training
older adults, individuals in rehabilitation, and clients with chronic conditions.
Cognitive-Muscular Development for the Elderly: The relationship between
brain function and physical movement in older adults, and how to program exercises that improve both.
Pilates Methodology: Core principles and application of Pilates exercises for
strengthening, flexibility, and control.
Mobility and Neurofunctional Capacity Development: Techniques to improve
joint range of motion and enhance the nervous system’s ability to control movement.
Myofascial Release: Methods for applying pressure to release muscle tightness
and improve tissue health.
Guided Stretching: Safe and effective stretching techniques to improve flexibility
and reduce muscle tension.
Injury Prevention and Management: Techniques to identify and address common
movement dysfunctions and post-trauma exercise protocols.
Equipment maintenance: Most common equipment maintenance issues and how
to fix them. Who You Are
Adapt and Adjust: Modify exercises and training plans to accommodate different
fitness levels, health conditions, and client preferences.
Communicate Effectively: Explain complex concepts clearly and build strong,
trusting relationships with clients.
Demonstrate Patience and Empathy: Work compassionately with clients of all
ages and abilities, particularly those recovering from injury, managing chronic health issues and elderly public.
Maintain Professionalism: Uphold a high standard of conduct and ethics at all
times.
Frequent commuting: Be willing to commute several times during the day to get to
the client preferred training location.
Work flexible hours: Be available for variable daily schedule, including working at
night and eventually weekends, to meet clients’ needs. Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education
Pilates Certification
Functional Training Certification
Fitness Trainer Certification
Minimum 10 years of experience in personalized training
Proven experience with senior public and injury recover programs
