Now Hiring – Full-Time Cook Southern Spice Restaurant, specializing in authentic Indian cuisine, is seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Cook in a busy Indian restaurant or commercial kitchen.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in preparing authentic North and South Indian cuisine, including curries, tandoori dishes, biryanis, breads, vegetarian specialties, and traditional Indian spices.
• Ability to maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of dishes in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• The successful candidate must be committed to remaining employed with the company for a minimum period of two (2) years.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Monitor food quality, stock rotation, and proper storage of ingredients.
• Assist with menu preparation, daily food production, and inventory control.
• Work efficiently as part of the kitchen team and perform other related duties as assigned by management.
