Troubleshooting, diagnosing and rebuilding/repairing diesel and gasoline engines and hydraulic systems for all types of vehicles, heavy equipment and paving equipment. Must perform scheduled preventative and onsite maintenance on all types of equipment and must maintain proper paperwork. Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Existing knowledge on Volvo systems, Prosis, Matris and Techtool is a requirement. Must have a clean, police and driving record. Must be able to troubleshoot problems in large and small diesel and gasoline engines, heavy equipment and paving equipment. Must have a thorough understanding of hydraulic system operations, preventative maintenance and onsite service programs. Must be able to operate all types of heavy equipment. Must be detail oriented, organized, computer literate, able to work independently under pressure and with tight deadlines. Must be able maintain proper documentation for preventative and onsite maintenance programs. Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays when required.
