Duties and Responsibilities Assist carpenters with construction and repair work. Carry, load, and unload materials, tools, and equipment. Measure, mark, and prepare materials for cutting and installation. Help install wooden structures, fixtures, and building components. Hold materials in place while carpenters work. Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas. Set up and take down ladders, scaffolding, and work platforms. Remove debris and keep the job site clean and organized. Follow safety rules and wear protective equipment. Assist with basic cutting, drilling, and assembly tasks as directed. Perform general labor duties as assigned by the supervisor.
