We are seeking a highly motivated Full-Time Youth Coach. This post will report to the Head of Youth Development. The ideal candidate holds a UEFA B or equivalent internationally recognized coaching license, has at least five years’ documented experience in a similar post and can demonstrate ability to work within a diverse youth football organization. About Us We are a youth football programme located in the Cayman Islands. Our goal is the development of excellence in football, while fostering personal integrity, leadership skills, community awareness & commitment to academic success. Our motto "The Books and the Ball You've Got it All" combines excellence in youth football development with an environment that emphasizes academic success. Academy Sports Club is a registered non-profit football club. We provide quality football development to the youth of the Cayman Islands, while emphasizing academic excellence and providing opportunity for the development of personal character and civic responsibility. Academy Sports Club currently has 15 youth teams.
a. Develop, implement and deliver daily afterschool coaching sessions to Academy registered youth players between the ages of 10yr – 19yr. The Youth Coach will be directly responsible for conducting eight to ten 90 minute training sessions during the week during the period 3:30pm to 7pm. b. Assist with monitoring success of our football coaching curriculum for all youth age groups in the club program. c. Assist with coaching and managing volunteer assistant coaches for our special events and programs. d. Maintaining daily training documentation for each team. e. Provide parents with regular communication regarding their child’s development and behaviour.
a. Work directly with the other Academy youth coaches to ensure twice per year formal ongoing player assessments.
a. Maintain appropriate, frequent, face-to-face and electronic communication with parents, other coaches, and Director(s) as needed. b. Work with team managers to ensure formal youth team and player registrations at the beginning of each season (usually during the month of September and occasionally throughout the season) c. Carry out other administration as needed to ensure an effectively run youth program d. Assist with the development and implementation of other youth football fundraising events and competitions in conjunctions with the club’s volunteers and parents. e. contribute meaningfully to the club's social media presence.
Monday – Friday, 1pm – 9pm Saturday & Sunday – up to a total of 7 hours over both days (dependent on match schedules) Location - Academy Field, Outpost Street, George Town Benefits as per the Cayman Islands Labour Law
