Job Posting: Mason Helper Company Name: M&L Construction and Maintenance Job Title: Mason Helper Location: Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands Job Type: Full-Time (40–45 hours per week) Pay Rate: CI$11.00 per hour Benefits: Statutory Health Insurance and Pension in accordance with Cayman Islands Labour Law Job Summary M&L Construction and Maintenance is seeking a dependable, physically fit, and experienced Mason Helper to support our masonry and construction teams on various commercial and residential projects across the Cayman Islands. Key Duties & Responsibilities Assist skilled masons with daily on-site tasks, including mixing mortar, cement, plaster, and grout to exact specifications. Measure, cut, and prepare blocks, bricks, stones, tiles, and rebar. Transport and stage heavy materials (blocks, cement bags, aggregates, tools) across job sites. Assist in erecting and dismantling scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers. Operate and maintain hand tools and power equipment (mixers, block cutters, angle grinders, drills). Grout walls, fill concrete blocks, and assist with pouring and leveling concrete slabs. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; clean equipment, scaffolding, and tools at the end of each shift. Strictly follow job site safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines, and company safety protocols. Required Qualifications & Skills Experience: Minimum of 5 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Mason Helper in general or masonry construction. Physical Capability: Must be in excellent physical condition, capable of continuous bending, lifting, and carrying loads of 50+ lbs, and able to work outdoors in tropical climate conditions. Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of mortar mixing ratios, masonry tools, and basic building measurements. Work Ethic: Strong attendance record, punctuality, and ability to follow verbal instructions accurately.
